Pearl Harbour - Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too

On this date in 1981, Pearl Harbour released her first post-Explosions album, Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too. It contained the singles, "Fujiyama Mama" and "Cowboys And Indians". Lead singer Pearl E. Gates had formerly been the lead singer of San Francisco new wave/power pop band Pearl Harbour And The Explosions. After the band broke up, she moved to England, changed her name to Pearl Harbour (adding the "u" as it was more commonly spelled in England) and changed her style as a solo artist to add a rockabilly flavor to her music. She was once married to Paul Simonon of The Clash.
