The Members - The Sound Of The Suburbs

On this date in 1979, The Members released their second single, "The Sound Of The Suburbs". The B side was "Handling The Big Jets". The A side appeared on their debut album, At The Chelsea Nightclub. The B side did not but it was added as a bonus track to the album when it was re-released on CD. The single reached the #12 spot on the U.K. singles chart. Although the band was active since 1976, they didn't release anything on vinyl until 1978. The Camberley, England punk/post punk band released four albums before disbanding in 1983.
