On this date in 1981, Kirsty MacColl released her third single, "Keep Your Hands Off My Baby". It was backed by "I Don't Need You". Neither track appeared on an album though the A side was added as a bonus track on her solo debut, Desperate Character, on a later CD re-release. She had previously been recorded as a member of London punk/powerpop band, the Drug Addix, where she was known as Mandy Doubt. Later, she became a member of The Pogues.
