Simple Minds - I Travel

|

On this date in 1980, Simple Minds released their fourth single, "I Travel". It was backed by "New Warm Skin". The A side appeared on their third album, Empires And Dance. The B side was a non-LP track. The single was re-released in 1982 but did not chart either time. Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill had started out together in a punk band called Johnny & The Self Abusers. The disbanded and Simple Minds was formed. The Glasgow, Scotland new wave band continues on.
