Flipper - Sex Bomb

|

On this date in 1981, Flipper released their second single, "Sex Bomb". It was backed by "Brainwash". The A side appeared on their debut album, Generic Flipper. The B side was a non-LP track which had an endless groove so it would play virtually forever until stopped...or sufficiently brainwashed. The San Francisco hardcore punk band disbanded in 1987 after two studio albums, some live material and several singles. Lead singer Will Shatter died of a drug overdose in 1988. They re-formed a few times afterwards and are currently finishing a new album.
