Venus And The Razorblades - Punk-A-Rama


On this date in 1977, Venus and The Razorblades released their debut single, "Punk-A-Rama". It was backed by "Press Conference", which actually was a recording of a press conference. The A side appeared on their debut album, Songs From The Sunshine Jungle. The B side did not. The Los Angeles punk/new wave band was managed by ex-Runaways manager Kim Fowley. The band released four singles and an album called Songs From The Sunshine Jungle and were done by 1978.
