Hey Mookie!
Were you at the Hofstra show that supported this album? One of the best shows I ever saw. They were really on and their challenge of security was magic.

Believe it or not, I never saw this band. But I do remember when they played at Hofstra. I could swear you told me back then that someone had a banner that read "I'd walk a million smiles".

Yes, it was in the Playhouse. Someone had a banner that read "I would walk a million miles for one of your smiles" (a twisted take-off on lyrics from "We Love You"). Security made someone put out a cigarette in the first row and they were not polite about it. Richard Butler then calls for a cigarette from the audience and lights it on stage. The crowd was becoming very anti-security quickly. Security got to the front of the stage to prevent the audience from reaching the stage. So..Tim Butler and then Jon Ashton jumped off the stage and came up the aisles about 12 rows deep (as far as they could without pulling out of their amps). I was sitting eighth row. It was a great show. Richard Butler was one of the best frontmen I ever saw.
