Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead

|

On this date in 1979, Bauhaus released their debut single, "Bela Lugosi's Dead". It was backed by "Boys" and a demo version of "Dark Entries". None of the threee tracks appeared on an album, though a different cut of "Dark Entries" appeared as a bonus track on their debut album, In The Flat Field, when it was re-released on CD. The song also became their second single. The Northampton, England goth band used to be known as Bauhaus 1919.
