Robert Quine of Richard Hell and The Voidoids would have turned 67 today. He died of a heroin overdose on June 5, 2004.

I'm familiar with Quine's work from listening to Lou Reed and Lloyd Cole. The man had a style and technique all his own; it was unmistakable---and he worked with such a wide variety of bands/artists, as well. A great loss.
