The Pale Fountains - Thank You

On this date in 1982, The Pale Fountains released their second single, "Thank You". It was backed by "Meadow Of Love". The 12 inch version included a remixed version of "Something On My Mind" (their first single). "Something On My Mind" appeared on their 1984 debut album, Pacific Street, but the other two tracks were non-LP tracks. They were all added to the album when it was re-released on CD, including the remixed version of "Something On My Mind". The single reached the #48 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Liverpool soul-influenced, new wave band disbanded in 1985 with two albums to their credit. They re-formed for a few shows recently.
