Adam and The Ants - Kings Of The Wild Frontier

On this date in 1980, Adam and The Ants released their second album, Kings Of The Wild Frontier. It contained the singles, "Kings Of The Wild Frontier" (#48 and #2 U.K. - it was released twice), "Antmusic" (#2 U.K.) and "Dog Eat Dog" (#4 U.K.). The album reached the #1 spot in the U.K. and the #44 spot in the U.S. The London punk/post punk band broke up in 1982 when Adam ditched the rest of the Ants and went solo. Well...almost all The Ants. He retained guitarist, co-songwriter Marco Pirroni.
