The Alarm - Marching On

On this date in 1982, The Alarm released their second single, "Marching On". It was backed by "Across The Border" and "Lie Of The Land". All three tracks appeared on their 1983 debut self-titled EP. They had begun life as a punk band called The Toilets. Later, they were a mod-influenced band called Seventeen which is when they released their first record. As The Alarm, the Rhyl, Wales post-punk/new wave band disbanded in 1991, only to re-form recently.
