Ultravox - Slow Motion

|

On this date in 1978, Ultravox released their sixth single, "Slow Motion". It was backed by "Dislocation". Both songs appeared on their third album, Systems Of Romance. This was the first album that they called themselves Ultravox. They used to be Ultravox! (with the exclamation point). This was still the Ultravox led by John Foxx who would be here another year before being replaced by Midge Ure. The London post punk/new wave band lasted until 1987. They re-formed in 1992 and released two albums before shutting it down again in 1996.

Hi,
The "reformed" Ultravox of the 90s was actually only Billie Currie (keyboards) and a group of other musicians assembled under the name Ultravox.
Ultravox reformed this year for a UK tour.

Yeah can't wait for the live DVD too. Also hope they do some new material. I love both the Foxx and Ure eras. Foxx is currently doing an album with one half of Leftfield.
