Stiff Is Born...So It Goes

On this date in 1976, Stiff Records was officially born with the release of catalog # BUY-1. It was Nick Lowe's "So It Goes". It was backed by a live version of "Heart Of The City". Both tracks would appear on his debut album, Jesus Of Cool. It was Stiff Records' first release but Nick Lowe's fifth single. The power pop singer from Surrey, England, once teamed up with Dave Edmunds in Rockpile, is still performing.
