Spizzenergi:2 - Jungle Fever

On this date in 1982, Spizzenergi:2 released their eleventh single, "Jungle Fever". It was backed by "The Meaning". This was their eleventh single collectively based on all the band's names to date. They had been around since 1978 and had been known up to this point as Spizzoil, Spizzenergi, Athletico Spizz 80, The Spizzles and, now, Spizzenergi 2. Neither track appeared on an album until a 1996 compilation. The West Midlands, England punk/new wave band effectively disbanded in 1982 but has gotten together on and off since then and has recorded.
