Pretenders II

On this date in 1981, The Pretenders released their second full length album, Pretenders II. It included the singles, "Talk of the Town" (#8 U.K.), "Message Of Love" (#11 U.K.), "Day After Day" (#45 U.K.), "Louie Louie" and "I Go To Sleep" (#7 U.K.). The album reached the #7 spot in the U.K. and the #10 spot in the U.S. This would be the last album with the original lineup. Pete Farndon was kicked out of the band and soon thereafter died of a drug overdose. James Honeyman Scott also died of a drug overdose. The London punk/new wave band, fronted by Ohio-raised Chrissie Hynde, is still in existence.

Not to complain, your blog is great and in a class of its own.

But a lot of Samantha's albums are ripped from streaming low bitrate sources (like this one) even if they are reposted in 320.
