Orange Juice - Blue Boy

On this date in 1980, Orange Juice released their second single, "Blue Boy". It was backed by "Love Sick". Neither track appeared on a regularly released album. It was packaged as a double single with their label mate Josef K ("Radio Drill Time"/"Crazy To Exist"). Both tracks did appear on a compilation called The Glasgow School. The Glasgow, Scotland post punk band released four albums before disbanding in 1985. Lead singer Edwyn Collins would embark on a successful solo career and have a #4 hit in the U.K. in 1994 with "A Girl Like You".
