Fashion - Love Shadow

On this date in 1982, Fashion released their eighth single, "Love Shadow". It was backed by "Let's Play Dirty". The A side appeared on their second album, Fabrique. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #51 spot on the U.K. singles chart. They also released a 12 inch version which had extended versions of the 7 inch tracks plus two additional songs, "Move On" and "Mutant Move". "Move On" was an album track while "Mutant Move" was not. When the album was re-released on CD, its name was changed to The Height Of Fashion. "Mutant Move" was added as a bonus track. The Birmingham, England post punk/new wave band disbanded in 1984 after three albums and several singles.

My 12 inch of "Love Shadow" (Smokey dialogue) got "Let`s play dirty-Centerfold," on the B-side. ( German pressing. )
Highly underrated band, the record buyers were more into synth-pop those days. Me too, I didn`t really discover them until several years later, after being stupid enough to give away my copy of "Fabrique" and starting to regret.
