On this date in 1978, DMZ released their self-titled debut album. This was their second release. They had released a four track EP titled Lift Up Your Hood in 1977. No singles were released from their debut album. A collection of previously released and never released material, Relics, was released in 1979 after the band had disbanded. The Boston, Massachusetts punk band had David Robinson (Cars, The Modern Lovers) as their drummer before any recordings were made. They called it quits in 1978 with one full length album to their credit at that time. Jeff Conolly, Rick Coraccio and Paul Murphy went on to form Lyres.
