Wall Of Voodoo - Mexican Radio

On this date in 1982, Wall Of Voodoo released "Mexican Radio" as a 12 inch. It was their second single. The B side was an instrumental (with some talking in the background) called "There's Nothing On This Side". The 12 inch also included a dub version of "Mexican Radio". They would also release a 7 inch version of the song around this time (with "Call Of The West" as the B side). Both "Mexican Radio" and "Call Of The West" appeared on their second album, Call Of The West (though the A side was a different version), while both extras on the 12 inch were left off. The single was re-released in 1983 and reached the #58 spot on the U.S. singles chart. The Los Angeles post-punk/new wave band disbanded in 1988.
