Suicide

On this date in 1978, Suicide re-released their self-titled debut album in the U.K. It had been released in 1977 in a limited edition run but sold out. They also released their debut single, "Cheree" on this date. The B side was "I Remember". The A side was a re-mix of the album track. The B side was a non-LP track. Both songs were included as bonuses when the album was re-released on CD. No other singles were promised from this debut album. The New York synth-punk band consisted of Alan Vega and Martin Rev. Their debut album was a seven track album but, when re-released on CD, was expanded to 17 tracks including seven live tracks. While they have slowed down, they have never officially disbanded. They pop up now and again for performances.
