Sham 69 - If The Kids Are United

On this date in 1978, Sham 69 released their fifth single, "If The Kids Are United". It was backed by "Sunday Morning Nightmare". The B side appeared on their second album, That's Life. The A side did not, but the 12-inch version of the song was added as a bonus track to the their third album, The Adventures Of The Hersham Boys upon its re-release, and the 7 inch version was added to a re-release of That's Life. The single reached the #9 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Hersham, England punk band disbanded in 1980 but re-formed in the late 80's and has been on and off ever since.

I went to see a reformed Sham 69 a couple of months ago in Hong Kong and they were brilliant!!
