Section 25 - The Beast

On this date in 1982, Section 25 released their first EP, The Beast. It included the tracks, "The Beast", "Sakura", "Sakura (Matrixmix)" and a live track called "Trident". None of the tracks were released separately as singles not did any appear on an album though the three studio tracks were added to their second album, The Key Of Dreams, when it was re-released on CD. The post-punk band from Blackpool, Lancashire, England disbanded in 1986. They recorded on the Factory Records label, the same label as A Certain Ratio, The Durutti Column, Joy Division and New Order. The band has done some recent performances.
