The Only Ones - Lovers Of Today

On this date in 1977, The Only Ones released their debut single, "Lovers Of Today". It was backed by "Peter And The Pets". Neither side appeared on a regular studio album released in the U.K. but both were included on the 1979 U.S. album, Special View. The London punk/power pop band released three albums before disbanding in 1981. A rarities album, live material and Peel Sessions have been released posthumously. They have recently reunited for performances.
