In July of 1983, Naked Eyes released their third single, "Promises, Promises". It was backed by "A Very Hard Act To Follow". This was a U.S. release. The single was not released in the U.K. until September of 1983 and it carried a different B side. Only the A side appeared on their U.S. self-titled debut album (both songs were on their U.K. debut, Burning Bridges). The single reached the #11 spot on the U.S. singles chart but only peaked at #95 in the U.K. The Bath, England new wave band broke up in 1984 after two albums. The band toured again in 2008 but without one half of the founding duo. Rob Fisher died of complications following stomach surgery in 1999.
