The Monochrome Set - The Mating Game

On this date in 1982, The Monochrome Set released their eighth single, "The Mating Game". It was backed by "j.d.h.a.n.e.y.". The A side appeared on their third album, Eligible Bachelors. The B side was named after a band member who just left the band (J.D. Haney) and was not included on the album until it was added as a bonus track on the CD re-release. The London post punk band rose from the ashes of a 1976 college band called The B Sides which included Stuart Goddard (Adam Ant). They released five albums before disbanding in 1985. They re-formed a few years later.
