The Men - I Don't Depend On You

On this date in 1979, The Men released their only record. The A side was "I Don't Depend On You". The B side was an instrumental entitled "Cruel". It was the only recording for the Sheffield, England new wave band under this name but not the only recording for the band. The Men was, in fact, The Human League under a pseudonym. They continue on today as a three-piece band. Both tracks by The Men were added to The Human League's second album, Travelogue, as bonuses when it was re-released on CD.

This song can be found of "Methods of dance" the two volume compilation released on Virgin in 1982. Sold by a special low-price ,it gave the listener an excellent oppertunity to get to know the Virgin artists. (Japan,Magazine,Devo,Simple Minds, Human League etc.) Method of Dance are our out on CD.
