Martha and The Muffins - Women Around The World At Work

On this date in 1981, Martha and The Muffins released their eighth single, "Women Around The World At Work". It was backed by "Twenty-Two In Cincinnati". The A side appeared on their third album, This Is The Ice Age. The B side was a non-LP track but was added as a bonus track to the album when it was re-released on CD. The single did not chart in the U.K. or the U.S. but did reach the #24 spot in their native Canada. The Toronto new wave band changed their name of the band to M+M in 1983 and the band died out by 1986, though they have gotten together on and off since.
