Killermeters - Why Should It Happen To Me?

|

On this date in 1979, Killermeters released their debut single, "Why Should It Happen To Me?". It was backed by "Cardiac Arrest". Neither song appeared on an album while they were intact (they didn't have any) but both appeared on a later compilation of their music, Metric Noise. The Huddersfield, England mod revivalists' roots were in punk (they were originally The Killer Meters but broke up and then took on their new mod direction as The Killermeters). They disbanded in 1980 after two singles.
