On this date in 1980, John Foxx released his third single, "Burning Car". It was backed by "20th Century". Neither side appeared on his debut solo album, Metamatic, but both were added as bonus tracks when it was re-released on CD in 2001. The Lancashire, England post punk musician was the original lead singer for Ultravox. He is still active.
