G.B.H. - City Baby Attacked By Rats

On this date in 1982, G.B.H. released their first full-length new album, City Baby Attacked By Rats. It included the single "Sick Boy". G.B.H. stood for Grievous Bodily Harm, a crime that their bass player, Sean McCarthy, was on trial for at the time. They changed their name to Charged G.B.H. to differentiate themselves from another band of the same name. Their first album was actually Leather, Bristles, No Survivors And Sick Boys, a compilation of their early EP's. They are considered one of the founders of UK hardcore punk. The album reached the #17 spot on the U.K. albums chart. The Birmingham, England punk/Oi! band is still intact.
