The Fall - How I Wrote Elastic Man

On this date in 1980, The Fall released their fifth single, "How I Wrote Elastic Man". It was backed by "City Hobgoblins". Neither track initially appeared on an album but both were added to a later version of their fourth album, Grotesque (After The Gramme). The Manchester, England post-punk band still records and performs but it has had just one constant member, frontman Mark E. Smith. They have had 27 studio albums and numerous live albums released to date.
