Elvis Costello - My Aim Is True


On this date in 1977, Elvis Costello released his debut album, My Aim Is True. It contained the singles, "Alison", "(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes", "Mystery Dance" and "Less Than Zero". None of the singles charted. The U.S. version contained one additional single, "Watching The Detectives" which reached the #15 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The album reached the #14 spot on the U.K. albums chart. The U.S. version was not released until March of 1978 where it reached the #32 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The London punk/new wave singer is still active.
