On this date in 1977, Elvis Costello released his third single, "(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes". It was backed by "Mystery Dance". He was still recording on the Stiff Records label at this time. Both songs appeared on his debut album, My Aim Is True. The London punk/new wave singer is still recording and performing.

Yeah, he's pretty progressive. I wish that his managers would be a little more progressive on their ticket sales though... I just bought my Elvis Costello tickets yesterday and they were pretty expensive. I probably got the best deal available but I was still surprised to see how much they were.
