On this date in 1980, The Dicks released their debut single, "The Dicks Hate The Police". It was supported by "Lifetime Problems" and "All Night Fever". The single was limited to 500 copies. The Austin, Texas punk band did not release any of these songs on a studio album but the first two tracks appeared on a combined live album (with Big Boys grabbing the A side) called Recorded Live At Raul's Club. They disbanded in 1986. They did play a few reunions shows a few years ago and now are playing regularly.
