The Danse Society - Clock

On this date in 1981, The Danse Society released their debut single, "Clock". It was backed by "Continent". Neither track appeared on their debut album, Seduction, but both were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. Both songs were originally released in a very limited quantity in March of 1981. They had earlier recorded a 12" called "There Is No Shame In Death" in September of 1980 but it was not released until later. The Barnsley, England post punk/goth band quit dancing in 1987.
