The Boys - First Time

|

On this date in 1977, The Boys released their second single, "First Time". It was backed by "Whatcha Gonna Do" and "Turning Grey". The A side appeared on their self-titled debut album while the other two tracks did not (though they were added as bonuses when the album was released on CD). The single peaked at the #84 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk/power pop band recorded four albums as The Boys plus one under their holiday alter-ego, The Yobs, before disbanding in 1982. They were not newcomers to the scene as Matt Dangerfield and Casino Steel were both with London SS along with Mick Jones (The Clash), Tony James (Generation X) and Brian James(The Damned) before forming The Boys. The Boys have been performing live again.
