Bow Wow Wow - Prince Of Darkness

On this date in 1981, Bow Wow Wow released their fourth single, "Prince Of Darkness". It was backed by "Orang-outang". The 12 inch version had a different B side. It was "Sinner Sinner Sinner" which was an elongated alternate version of the A side. Both B sides appeared on their first full length vinyl album (Cassette Pet was their first LP, available only on Cassette), See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah! City All Over, Go Ape Crazy. The A side did not. The single reached the #58 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London new wave band formed when Leigh Gorman, Matthew Ashman and Dave Barbarossa were steered away from Adam and The Ants. Add Annabella Lwin and you have Bow Wow Wow. They were managed by ex-Sex Pistols' manager Malcolm McLaren. They disbanded in 1983.
