The Alley Cats - Too Much Junk

On this date in 1981, The Alley Cats released their second single, "Too Much Junk". It was backed by "Night Along The Blvd". Both tracks appeared on their debut album, Nightmare City. The Los Angeles punk trio performed in the movie, Urgh! A Music War. They were signed to IRS Records after this release. The Los Angeles area (Lomita, California) punk band were not rockabilly, despite the "cat" name. They disbanded in 1988 with two albums to their credit.
