Adam and The Ants - Zerox

On this date in 1979, Adam and The Ants released their second single, "Zerox". It was backed by "Whip In My Valise". Both tracks appeared on the second version of their debut album, Dirk Wears White Sox. The single did not chart upon its original release but reached the #45 spot on the U.K. singles chart upon its re-release in January of 1981. The London punk/post punk band broke up in 1982 when Adam ditched the rest of the Ants and went solo. Well...almost all The Ants. He retained guitarist, co-songwriter Marco Pirroni.
