U.K. Subs - Stranglehold

On this date in 1979, U.K. Subs released their second single, "Stranglehold". It was supported by "World War" and "Rockers". All three songs appeared on their debut studio album, Another Kind Of Blues, but they were different cuts. The 45 versions of all three songs appeared as bonus tracks on the album when the album was re-released on CD. The single made it to the #26 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk band, originally called U.K. Subversives, is still led by Charlie Harper and shows no sign of slowing down.
