G.B.H. - Sick Boy

On this date in 1982, G.B.H. released their third 7-inch, "Sick Boy". It was backed by "Slit Your Own Throat" and "Am I Dead Yet". All three songs appeared on their first album, Leather, Bristles, No Survivors And Sick Boys, which was a compilation of their first three 7-inch records. G.B.H. stood for Grievous Bodily Harm, a crime that their bass player, Sean McCarthy, was on trial for at the time. They changed their name to Charged G.B.H. to differentiate themselves from another band of the same name. They are considered one of the founders of UK hardcore punk. The Birmingham, England punk/Oi! band is still intact.
