Elvis Costello - Everyday I Write The Book

In June of 1983, Elvis Costello released his twenty-eighth overall single, "Everyday I Write The Book". It was backed by "Heathen Town". The A side appeared on his eighth studio album, Punch The Clock. The B side did not but it was added as a bonus track when the album was re-released on CD. The single reached the #28 spot on the U.K. singles chart and the #36 spot on the U.S. singles chart. It was Elvis Costello's first top 40 single in the U.S. The London punk/new wave singer is still active.
