The Alarm - The Stand

In June of 1983, The Alarm released their third single, "The Stand". It was backed by "Third Light". The A side appeared on their debut self-titled five song EP. A different version of the song appeared on their debut full-length album, Declaration. The B side also appeared on Declaration. The single reached the #86 spot on the U.K. singles chart. They had begun life as a punk band called The Toilets. Later, they were a mod-influenced band called Seventeen which is when they released their first record. As The Alarm, the Rhyl, Wales post-punk/new wave band disbanded in 1991, only to re-form recently.
