Tours - Language School

|

On this date in 1979, Tours released their debut single, "Language School". It was backed by "Foreign Girls". The Poole, England punk/power pop band released just two singles before disbanding without an album.

Superb record. Is that really your mother?? The Tours released a single on virgin records, I think. I saw them in Poole and also on tour in Stoke. They just needed more songs. The Martian Schoolgirls soon took their local mantle.

I absolutely adored this record - the essence of 1979. And now I see on Spotify it deservedly opens a very good compilation from that era. What a pity they didn't make an album but it's great they did this at least
