Split Enz - Waiata

1981, Split Enz released their sixth album, Waiata. Well, it was their sixth album released in Australia (though it was called Corroboree there). The album yielded two top five singles in Australia, "One Step Ahead" (#5) and "History Never Repeats" (#4), and a third single, "I Don't Wanna Dance", which did not chart. There was also a U.S.-only single called "Iris" and the Canadian single, "Hard Act To Follow". The album reached the #1 spot in Australia and New Zealand and the #45 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The Auckland, New Zealand new wave/power pop band called it quits in 1985.
