Split Enz - History Never Repeats


On this date in 1981, Split Enz released their eighteenth single, "History Never Repeats". It was backed by the live tracks, "Shark Attack" and "What's The Matter With You". The A side appeared on their sixth album, Waiata (though it was called Coroboree in Australia). The single reached the #4 spot on the Australian singles chart and the #63 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Auckland, New Zealand new wave/power pop band called it quits in 1985.
