The Professionals - Join The Professionals

On this date in 1981, The Professionals released their third single, "Join The Professionals". It was backed by "Has Anybody Got An Alibi". Neither track appeared on their debut album, I Didn't See It Coming, but both were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. They were also on their second album, The Professionals, which was their first recorded album but not released until much later. The London punk band was formed by ex-Sex Pistols Steve Jones and Paul Cook and was originally called The Greedies. When this single was released, the band also included ex-Subway Sect bassist Paul Meyers. They disbanded in 1982
