Polecats - Rockabilly Guy

On this date in 1981, The Polecats released their third single, "Rockabilly Guy". The B side was "Don't Cry Baby". The A side was actually their first release too. It had been released on an independent label (Nervous Records) in 1979. This time around, re-worked, the single reached the #35 on the U.K. singles chart. The B side was on their debut album, Polecats Are Go! while the A side was excluded. It was included when the album was re-released on CD. The Middlesex, England rockabilly band released five singles and one album of new material before breaking up in 1983. They get together occasionally to tour and record new material.
