The Plimsouls - Zero Hour

On this date in 1981, The Plimsouls released their debut single, "Zero Hour". It was backed by "Now". The two studio tracks appeared on their self-titled debut album and the A side appeared on their 1980 EP debut, though it was a different version. The 12 inch version featured two additional tracks, live versions of "Hush, Hush" and "Everyday Things". Another version had the live "Hush, Hush" plus "Dizzy Miss Lizzie" as the support tracks, both of which were included when their debt album was expanded on CD. The Los Angeles power pop disbanded in 1984 after two albums but they have frequently re-formed for touring since. Frontman Peter Case was previously in Los Angeles new wave band The Nerves.
